screwed up cd drive

Dunno what happened. It was working fine earlier today. Went to load up a game and it said no cd drive detected. It still spun the disk like it was trying to load it. There is no disk in the drive now and the light is going non stop on it like its reading something.

Try to restart the PC. Is the drive locaed in teh device amnager?

I haven't checked that. I have retried starting and doing a restore just cuz I could and it was easy. It's not the computer in my sig. Its a Dell laptop.

now thats weird cuz looking under 'computer' its there again. it wasnt there last night when it wouldnt work. It works too. Weird.
