Hi,

I just built a laptop, but for some reason when I boot it up, the screen keeps blank. It doesn't even flicker when turning on. Before buying the laptop core, i asked the salesman if BIOS was installed, and he said it was. When i turn it on, there are all the noises from hard drive, cpu fan , and dvd drive starting up. I also connected my desktop screen to the laptop, and nothing happened.
Any suggestions on what the problem could be? Is there any chance I didn't connect something somewhere?

P.S.

The components are:
HEL-80 barebone laptop core
T2500 Intel Duo Core cpu
Seagate Momentus 7200.1 100GB 7200RPM SATA 8MB 10.5MS NCQ 2.5IN Hard Drive
VBI DVD+-RW Notebook Optical Drive for Compal HEL80
2 X Kingston ValueRAM PC2-4200 512MB DDR2 200PIN SODIMM CL4 Memory

make sure the graphics card is seated properly if you have one i dont see it on your list. if you have integrated make sure your onboard video hasnt failed.

The card came with the laptop core, its GeForce 7600.
I dont really know where to look for it or how it looks...

you personally built the laptop?
does it work if you have the laptop hooked up to AC power?
video card seated properly?
cables damaged, pins bent?
try another video card in there if you can get your hands on one

answer ALL of those questions!!!!!

All I did was put the hard drive, CPU, keyboard, and DVD drive in. The screen wont work either way, but everything else seems wot work from ac or from battery. I'm not sure where the video card is installed on the motherboard, but I think it should be, cuz it came installed already. There was any damage that i could see.
