I've got a SATA HDD which is not detected by the BIOS. It has important data. Is it over or there is software or something that can bring it to life?

If it can't be recognized by the BIOS, then there's very little chance of getting it to work.

Does the drive spin up at all? I.e. can you hear it or feel it vibrating?

Have you tried a different SATA port on your motherboard? Tried a different SATA cable?

Yes I can feel the vibration. I did not try diff cable by this is the desktop PC and cable that I always use for testing and to transfer data.

I would still try a different cable and/or port to make sure.

Otherwise, the controller card on the HDD itself could be going bad, or another problem with the HDD.

If the data is that important, it'd be a minimum of around $500 to send it into a data retrieval company to get your data back.
