Default SAS to SATA Adapter

I am attempting to convert a SAS drive to SATA and attach it to a SATA to SATA cloner. The cloner works just fine when cloning SATA drives, but not for SAS drives when I use an adapter.

The adapter that I am using is found here:
SAS/SATA adapter for SAS HDDs. Compatible with HP 398291-001, Dell interposer MY306@ SCSI4ME.COM

The cloner is found here:
2 SATA HDD USB3.0 Clone Adapter,View 2.5''/3.5'' duplicator,ORICO Product Details from Orico Technologies Co., Ltd. on

What could I be doing wrong? Is there another way that I should be going about this?

Default Re: SAS to SATA Adapter

It might not be compatible with the adapter.
