Safely Remove Hardware

I know there's a way to get rid of this and I know it was posted a few months back but I just can't seem to find it. How do you get rid of the safely remove hardware icon in the taskbar on the bottom right for my hard drive?

as far as i know you cant get rid of it , but you can hide it
start-->settings-->taskbar and start menu-->customize find safely remove hardware and set to always hide

edit forgot to mention that "hide inactive icons" must be checked

Hiding it is cool but I want to make it go away or atleast get off the taskbar.
