s video help

Im fooling around with s video and I can get a picture and for the most part I can get it to fit the screen. My question is, is there supposed to be audio going to the tv also through the s video cable? I remember hearing a long time ago its supposed to have video and audio but ive only managed to get video. Is there audio in this cable or do you need an aux cable for sound?

there should be an audio in near s video in
and Audio out near svideo out

Unless from graphics card, then Use sound card audio out and get special cable which has 1 plug which plugs into speaker port which splits into 2 red-white plugs and plug it in accordingly

ok thanks, i have another question now. I can get my tv to clone my moniter but everytime i enable it, it brings my laptop resolution down to 1024x768. I have a widescreen and it needs to be at 1440x900. Once I enable the tv to clone it maxes my reslolution to 1024x768. How can I fix this to get my laptop resolution back to normal. I got an ati card running the newest omega drivers. Thanks in advance
