on the primary hard drive put the jumper on the pins which are one in from the right hand side

on the ata drive? that would set it to slave i think.. i cant remember the jumper settings. i probably tried that before tho, but i will check when im home

yeah it does, but im at work now so i'll check later. i think the jumper is set to the one all the way to the left. and im pretty sure thats master.

IDE on master is the proper settings. SATA is not and does not affect Master/Slave settings.

Otherwise I'd say it's bound to be a BIOS issue, but you've already checked all the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

yeah i have the IDE set to master, and i just left the SATA because there are no slave/master. It HAS to be a bios problem for sure, but I cant figure it out. I'm gonna try to go back to an older bios version, I cant figure it out.
