Default Roxio killed my CD burner

No really. I have used this thing for years with zero issues. I had Roxio Easy CD creator 5. Well, I found a CD last night for Easy CD Creator 6. So naturally I removed 5 and installed 6. Well now I have "No burning devices found" So I removed 6 and reinstalled 5. Still nothing. I understand these things die, but I had just burned a disk not 5 minutes before the upgrade. What the *BLEEP* is going on here???

If your equation requires either a complex combination of variables to get the desired result OR you can't seem to get the result regardless of the variables....it ain't your variables, it's your constant.

Is your ASPI layer still intact? It would be best to reinstall it.

Adaptec ASPI v4.71.2 (freeware)

Found the fix on the Roxio website. It worked on my work PC but not my home PC. Weird.
