The modem and router are hooked up to one computer across the house, and I am trying to set up a connection with the computer on the other side of the house. The signal is extremely weak and the connection cuts on and off. Without moving any of the computers or routers is there anything I can do to improve the strength of the signal? Is there anything I can buy that can go between the two computers that can perhaps relay the signal to one another wirelessly?

Could i maybe just buy a better antenna to put on the router?

Google is your buddy.

I already looked for antennas. That price is way too good to be true. Those things cost about 100 dollars.

What router is it?, i've seen quite a few firmware upgrades that can boost your signal
