Default Restarts after i plug in a USB

Well i had my old mp3 player lying around and i decided to put some music on it. I plugged it in and started synching files it was going good until my computer just immediately restarted........So im like ok that was weird i plug in again after it loads up and bam it happens to me again. So whats causing this? When i put songs on my Psp it doesnt do this. By the way the mp3 player is a RCA Lyra.

Try installing the drivers again, but it may be an issue with the usb 2.0 and im not sue how to fix that. My cousins computer used to blue screen when he would plug in my external HD case and it waz because he was using one of the first copys of xp x64 and it had either crapp or no usb 2.0 drivers. So if you can get newer usb drivers
