How do I remove the battery to reset the CMOS?

I don't want to yank it out just incase that is not what I am meant to do - and I break my motherboard. LOL!

On one side of the battery is a little clip, just pull it away from the battery and it should pop out a little bit. Then simply remove it and wait about 5-15 minutes to fully assume that the bios has been reset. (There is an electric charge that is left that has to be fully discharged for it to reset) Then just pop the battery back in.

well the other way to reset the bios is to set the jumper on the pins that says clr_cmos or something similar. That would actually short it to reset the cmos and would be far easier than taking out the battery

That all depends on what kind of motherboard you have....and much of the time you have to switch the jumper AND remove the battery.
