Default recoving information from hard drive

I got a WD500AAJS drive that has some information on it that hopefully can be recovered. The drive is showing up unallocated in disk management. Was wondering if there are any good programs out there that actually work and any of you have used. Thanks

Easy recovery pro is a great program. Recuva is great for free. You will most likely have to format the drive then perform data recovery on it.

In the past I have used OnTrack EasyRecovery - at my last job a few people managed to destroy their laptops and 'lost' data on the hard disks and this software allowed me to recover their data without going to the expense of sending it away to a specialist as they tend to charge quite a lot of money!
