How do I go about rebuilding the entire computer? Where do I go.. this is completely a n00bish question, but where do I turn?

As far as I know we still can't go on opening our nice looking
laptops and putting in parts. You can upgrade memory of course but any other parts like CPU or video card I dont think so. Only way you can go to is maybe searching for some store that does this or its manufacturer but I dont think there is.
