Hi. I have a ZALMAN CNPS9700 on a AMD 6400+

Usually the CPU idles at around 18-20 degrees.
But it can get very chilly in my room so I just turn on my heater. Then, the CPU temps idle at round 35 degrees.

Will this rapid change in temp affect the longevity of the CPU?

Thanks

It's keeping it cooler, and cool, so its not really an issue. It would be something to worry about if it went from extremely cold to extremely hot and back and forth for a while. like glass, if you've ever heated it up and put it in cold water the glass shatters, but if you warm it up and put it out in a cooler area it will be fine.
