So I just finished building and setting up this new computer last night and I've been experiencing a rather annoying issue with it. It randomly reboots after so long. It's done it twice now since I've gotten everything up and running; once after about being on for ~2 hours and this time for being on around 10 hours.

diagnostic report for specs:

After talking with a few people that seem to know their way around pcs, we came down to it possibly being either the 4pin power cord being connected to an 8pin (I'll need an adaptor to remedy this), or something overheating inside.

I downloaded Sensors View to check out the info and it gives me this:

Temperatures:

CPU: 27C/82F
GPU: 47C/117F
Sys: 35C/95F
AUX: 27C/81F
HD0: 26C/79F

Fans

CPU: 0 RPMs
Sys: 1875 RPMs
AUX fan: 0 RPMs
CPU fan2: 0 RPMs
Aux fan2: 0 RPMs

Voltages

VcoreA: 1.02 V
+3.3V: 3.31 V
+12V: 10.90V

I noticed that most of the fans are reporting zero RPMs which is odd because I'm looking at them now and they're doing just fine. My guess is that it's either the video card overheating, power supply being insufficient (500W) or the 4 pin being connected to the 8pin power connector. I have an adaptor on the way for the pin cord issue.

Any expert advice?

I'm playing world of warcraft atm, and when tabbed into the game the GPU temp jumps up about 20degrees F fairly quick. I'm gonna keep playing it and see if it continues to go higher.

When first assembling a new build and applying the thermal paste or compound to the hsf and cpu you only run the system for about 3-4hrs. and then shutdown the entire system on the first day. The board's overheat protection circuit is most likely kicking in since you are trying to push things too fast there.
