Random freezing while gaming..

Hey there, I am having a very annoying problem.. The problem is my computer will randomly freeze when i'm gaming.. I will be playing Battlefield 2, and it will freeze, forcing me to shut down.

This completely random, and it happened a lot a little while ago, and I installed the latest nVidia drivers, it stopped for a bit, but it's happening again..

I have a Dell XPS 410 system.. Thanks in advance.

How are you connecting? Wired or wireless? Wireless is notorious for lag when gaming.

This isn't internet lag, its computer lag. Completely different, but both equally annoying.

Here are a few things you can troubleshoot to help me out:

a) Play another game. Are you having the same problems with random freezing?

b) Make sure your game is fully updated.

c) Right-click My Computer, go to Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click on "Device Manager". Click on the "+" sign beside "Display adapters". Your video card should pop up. Right-click on it and hit "Properties". Click on the Drivers tab and then at the bottom, click "Uninstal". You'll be asked to restart. Do so. When your computer reboots, it will be using a basic driver, and things may look awkward - that's OK. Reinstall the video driver you just downloaded. When everything is settled, try playing your game again to see if it still freezes.

d) Reinstall the game. 9 times out of 10 I've seen this option fix game problems. If the Uninstaller has an option to "Repair", do that instead, although you should still need the CD.

e) If all else fails, head to the BF2 forums and go hunting for similar problems your comrades are having. There may be a very specific fix that the BF2 devs have conjured up for your video card, or even your overall computer specs. I've fixed many problems this way, too. A little research can go a long way.

Yeah, the reason i posted here was because EA makes this game, and, well.. I think I've said enough..

EA's forums suck a nut when it comes to technical support, me being a techie myself, they are completely helpless when it comes to fixing a game error.

I will try reinstalling and reinstalling my driver, this time i'll use Driver Cleaner too..

and BTW, I am wireless, and I know this isn't an internet issue, and I also do know wireless sucks for gaming
