Default RAM specs?

How to get the any/all details about the RAM present inside my system by using strictly software in linux(i have ubuntu 7)? i can get only the amount of RAM present , however i cannot get the manufacturer/vendor of the RAM?
all help is sincerely appreciated....c ya!!

Although I'm not sure if they support Linux. Try Everest, CPU-Z, SiSoft Sandra, and PC Wizard.
