ram question

i have a stick of ram and on the sticker it says:

Nanya

1GB pc2 5300 E 555


what can you tell me about this so that i am sure to get the correct ram to add to my computer. I am looking to add another gig

Download a program called CPU-Z:
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Then open up the program, and go to the memory or SPD tab, and look at the timings. Try and get a ram to match the timings, as well as the speed of the ram, which is PC2-5300 or DDR2 667.
