Hey Guys;

I was gave a laptop to repair and its left me scratching my head.

When its about to login to XP it crashes and gives an error of c000025a {Fatal System Error}

The Windows Login Process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000012f

I then tried to install vista and when i tried to start the installer i got an error of 0xC0000005; So I did a little bit of research and found it may have something to do with Faulty RAM.

So I did tests with a boot CD a friend recommended me. It came up with no errors.

Can someone shine light on this? Because I don't want to buy RAM; when its actually not the problem.

Thanks Dazeh.

When you say test boot, do you mean you loaded something like a LInux Live CD?

I would run something like memtest85, which is a bootable CD that will run a thorough test on your RAM.

Yeah that's what i ran, It was like a CD with LOADS of tests on it. I cant really remember the name of the CD; I think it was something like Ultimate Boot CD.
