ram install annoying screen

i installed another stick of ram on my computer but now whenever i start the computer up it gives me a cpu changed or unworkable message and i have to press f1 to get passed it. does anyone know what i can do so that i dont get ths screen anymore

Are you sure you bought the right type? and did you try switching them around (putting one in one slot and vice versa)

Go into your bios and just hit F10 once you are there. It will save the updated memory information ( you might as well check the memory addresses and installed memory while you are there). Once the Bios has been updated the F1 message should disappear.
