RAID w/ P5K

First my computer setup:

C2D E6600
Asus P5K mobo
2 GB Patriot RAM
8800 GTS 640MB
2-250 GB SATA HD's
700W OCZ PS
Tuniq Tower Heatsink

This is my problem, I have the HD's in RAID 0 (using jmicron drivers) which I setup up through the BIOS. The RAID causes the sound to stutter and the system to freeze during high load HD access. This is documented on the Asus forums. They suggest loading the new j micron drivers to fix the problem. Does anyone know how to re-load RAID drivers? Do I have to destroy the RAID drive lose all my data and start from scratch? Or is there a way to re-load them with out losing all my data?

Crap, I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. I think I'm going away from RAID this time, not worth the issues I've had with it.
