Raid hdd issues?

No one in that house is good enough to even begin to reinstall windows or anything like that. It had a raid 1, I know for a fact. It somehow got moved to ide instead of raid. I know these people because they are my friends. I work on their computer all the time. The discs are almost identical with info on them except for the new items that have been installed lately. The one drive does not have any new info.

Really I could care less if you believe me or not, but I'll say it one last time.

The vast majority of boards I work with are Intel manufactured. If you have a mirror array set up, and you accidentally disable it, you can re-enable it in the BIOS, and have it rebuild without much of a problem.

I believe you. I hope I did not give you the impression I did not. I am going to try it this weekend and I will let you know. Thanks for your help.
