problem:timmy's computer despite being an atx computer comes to the screen "it is now safe to turn of your computer" which is intended for AT computers, when he tries to shutdown from xp. he multiboots and has no such problems in win 98se.

Electro Static Discharge?
it damages computers by passing built up electricity through it.. possibly more than it can handle
avoid it by grounding yourself before touching ANYTHING inside the case.

good enough answer for the second question. now that someone has at least attempted the previous question : sometimes that problem is caused by APM (advanced power management) not being enabled. go to the power options in control panel, go to the APM tab and check that "enable APM" is checked.

Little timmy's digital camcorder is working fine when he records, but when he plays the footage back, offset bars and pixelation occurs all over his footage. What is wrong and how to fix it?
