Default Question about a laptop AC Adaptor

I stepped on my laptop AC Adaptor and was just wondering if I could have caused any damage to it. How sturdy are these things?

If there are no cracks on it, it should be okay.

The external case is to protect the inner parts, so if the outside is not damaged the inside should be fine.
