Default Question about Acer notebook and OS

I have a Acer notebook with windows MC installed on it I want to wipe the hd clean and reinstall but i have no disk. Is there a way to make a back up disk of just the OS with out all the preloaded crap on it and reinstall?

Also how do you change the amount of memory assigned to integrated gpu?

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 / XIGMATEK HDT-S1283
