Post put dvd on hardrive?

how do i put a burned dvd on my hard drive so i can put on my ipod?
im going to use videora ipod converter then put into itunes. but theres another problem i was trying to watch it in windows media player but there was no sound
kind of weird maybe because i never bought the codec for it?
but o well i just need it on my hard drive. i dont need a de-crypter either.
so i guess thats all for now. o and by the way i was complaining about the high ping in games with dsl xtreme 6.0 but all of the suddent it all works with [playable ping. extremely odd. but as long as it now works im happy.

plz help me with the dvd onto hardrive thing
