Default Purple Tinted Moniter

I turned on my PC the other day and the image on my moniter is tinted purpleish/pink. I tried everything, checking the cables, even reset the vid card and nothing worked. Could this be a good excuse to pick up one of those sexy flat panel monitors?

Try changing your color settings or deguassing your monitor.

Yes, LCD's are sexy, but who has $150 to spend these days??? :/

Any suggestions? I'm looking for a 19" widescreen.

Get a monitor off Newegg or TigerDirect. You have to buy online, through your parents credit card, but it's worth the savings.

I've got a credit card, I can use that but I already bought one. I found a nice Gateway at Best Buy, not the 22" but the 19". $260 for it. I love it too, great picture. BF2 and Oblivion look amazing on it.
