Default Promise Fasttrack 378 ?

Hi all, I have a Asus A8V-Deluxe Mobo with a Promise Fasttrack 378, Sata Raid controller. If i am using it with 2 hdd's in Raid-0 (Stripe Raid) by setting it up in the Promise bios (Ctrl-F) would that be considered a "software Raid" or "hardware raid" ?

Hardware. If it's on a RAID controller, then it's hardware.

Sorry your right, for some strange reason i read it as saying "If it's NOT a RAID controller, then it's hardware"

It is hardware level, but will still need drivers and possibly software to be installed for windows to use it.
