problems using usb floppy on windows xp install

I hit f6 to specify an additional driver. i load the drivers, go through the disk setup, works great. Later on in the install,, it prompts me to insert the driver disk again... but yet my usb floppy no longer works, sorta like the setup turned it off.

Has done this with multiple usb floppy drives and multiple motherboards in the past..

works great with a regular floppy connected with a ribbon cable... but eh i dont own one anymore.

Anybody have any input on how to fix this?

darn i guess nobody here has seen the prob.. or nobody else boots off of hardware raid.

I have seen this issue when doing installs on servers with no floppies. I ended up purchasing a new usb floppy drive and it solved the issue. Their cheap enough to give it a shot.
