I just dug up an old laptop, and I found that it has a "C" and "D" drive, now naturally everything I download (debugging programs and such) goes to the C drive, but the problem is all the harddisk space is in the D drive.

This is probably a pretty n00bish type question, but how can I fix this problem?

What do you mean all the harddisk space is on the D drive? Do you mean there is more space on the D drive than on the C drive? if so, y dont you just download to the D drive lol?
Well apart from that you can start over and make only one partition. Because from the information given I suppose you only have one hard drive and it is partitioned into two partitions. If you dont mind backing-up your data and reinstalling :

Boot with your OS disk and at the part where the partitions appear delete the D partition and I suppose that you will have more space now on the C.

or delete all partitions and create a new one and install your OS on that new partition, *fresh start.
