Problem With Mouse!!! Help An Artist Immediately, Plz!

This started very recently, but it's already causing problems for me. Lately, sometimes when I click once, the computer double-clicks for me at random times. It's really getting in the way of my art Also, when i drag to create a line on photoshop or highlight text or whatever i would need to drag the click for, it sometimes lets go and re-clicks while im holding down the button, even though i never let go!!! Plz help me out with any advice and tips to get rid of this problem. Thanks!

i deleted the second incomplete thread of yours...........

try another mouse, if that doesn't work try one of a different type i.e. if you are using a ps/2 (round plug) mouse now try a USB one and if you are using USB try a ps/2 mouse
