Problem with Mobo Power Connector

Heyoo.

I have an old Dell XPS 600 which I want to put all the components into a new case. I also bought a new ATX PSU for this since the Dell one was extremely proprietary.

I am running into an issue though, the motherboard has a 10-pin power connector (POWER12V) while the new PSU only has a standard 8-pin.

Here is the PSU: Newegg.com - Refurbished: Diablotek ZR ZR500 500W ATX Power Supply

Here is the Motherboard: Documentation

Is there anyway I can get an ATX 8-pin to work on Dell's 10-pin?

I've found some other people with the same problem, but I have yet to see a solution.

Thanks everyone!

That's why the PSU was proprietary, cause the board is also. I does not use an 8-pin for power. It uses a cut-down 20/24-pin.

Could I simply modify it to be a 10-pin, then wire the additional two pins in parallel?

Or is there a chance the amperage could drop too much?

Just a quick shameless bump.

I have the 10-pin connector from the Dell PSU. Think I could just wire it using the wires for the 8-pin on the new PSU?
