problem with microphone

hi everyone i need help i am having issues wit my mic .. the mic is working completely fine i am usin onboard audio from my motherboard intel dg845glly(its old) i didnt have any issues with this before but after like 2-3 months when i reinstalled my window and started using my mic it simply didnt work... i cant even use voice chat now i think its a driver issue i dont think its hardware...

and tell me are these inter related and if yes, then, how can i trouble shoot my problem..i am running on sigmatel audio by the way... waiting For a positive reply your friend....

yea its driver issues, what you need to do is find out, you seem to know what the motherboard is called so go to intels homepage under support, there should be an option to choose wt motherboard n model number to downloads drivers etc but like u say it is how old n may have pulled out for supporting tht model.

gd luck, oyea is it a pre built pc like dell if so got to there website and search your pc name
