Default Problem with the BIOS temp monitoring on the P8P67 MB

I bought a new rig last week.
P8P67 pro, 2500k...
There is a difference about 20 deg. Celcius (70 F) between the bios reading and AI suite II for the CPU. I have 34C in AI and around 55C in the bios. But for the MB, both have the same temp.

My question is, if the CPU overheat, it will consider what temp? AI or the BIOS?

Try HWMonitor. See what that brings up. It may be different tjmax's.

If the CPU were to shut down the computer of heat, it goes by BIOS. The software only reads off the sensors.

Did you try resetting the BIOS?

On HWMonitor i have 36-37 on each core, total 37. Same on AI Suite II.
And no, i didn't reset the bios yet. I'll try that and give you a feed back soon.

I have a P8P67 board (a Deluxe, though) and haven't noticed this issue.
