I'm having problems with games freezing when I play them with my new mobo. Here are my system specs.

Asus A7V880 Socket A motherboard
MSI Radeon 9800xt
768mb ram
80gb western digital hard drive
350 watt psu

Anyone else had this kind of problem with this motherboard?

well my compy worked fine when I had my old gigabyte mobo. Games didnt start freezing until I installed the Asus a7v880 mobo.

Did you update the bios on your new board? I'm not real familiar with Asus mobo's but I have yet to find an MSI or DFI that dosen't need a bios flash when I set them up.
Barring that, how old is that PS? Is it a generic one that came with the case or what? Older power supplies can be a pain when used to power newer boards. Most of the newer boards require a very tightly controlled power supply, and will operate erraticlly if at all when hooked up to one of those generic PS's.
Anyway, hope it works out for you.

I've done a little more research and found other people that had this problem. I guess that this mobo didnt provide enough VCORE power, so it needed to be raised from 1.6 to 1.7 volts. This seemed to have worked.
