Default Pro.2 Microphone installation

Howdy. I have a Pro.2 microphone, its one of those ones you'd use if you were in a band or somthing. But the cable goes to like, a port in the back of your computer. I want to be able to use it for voice recordings on my computer. I stuck the cable in the red microphone port in the back. But nothing is coming up, and im not sure what to do, i took a peak in the add hardware thing. Nothing. Wondering what to do. It didnt come with any installation CD.

It has the 1/8" jack right? That is colored pinkish? I would go into the control panel>sounds and multimedia>make sure the mic is not muted and bring the volume up to max in the mixer. Anything? Pro 2 mic made by whom?
