Printer will not work?

This just started. I rebooted, powered down the printer and nothing. Won't print from note pad or Word. Says it's online. Any help?

Do you have the drivers for it? If yes, can you try and reinstall them if possible? If it's Vista or anything after it you're on and if the printer is a USB printer. You can delete it and just plug it back in and it should install...but just in case download the drivers or have the disk if it doesn't install on it's own.

Does it show up in the Devices and Printers? This is in Control Panel.

Not sure if I have the driver. I'm sure it's somewhere but can't find it right now. I have XP
Yes it does show up in the control panel. It shows pages ending to print.

If you're not sure if you have the driver at hand, get the brand/model of your printer and look online the manufacture's website, then download the latest drivers and install. After just reboot your system and printer, see if it works after.

Download your driver onto the support site or on search engine ....
sometimes peripherals newly installed to your computer needs a driver...
if your printer has a problem the power light will blink...
