On startup, power and everything turns on, then the Motherboard screen pops up and then there is a beep and the computer turns off. What could be the problem? I have a COLORSit 500 W power supply.

a Single beep means that POSt was successful however. its not cause it turned off, try switching out Power supply with another one. Its most likly the power supply by what you said.

Power supply worked fine in previous comp and that one didnt demand as much power. Still think so?

What are the rest of the components?

Could be a grounding problem also.

Swap out PSU for a known good one, thats the starting point. If it still happens then its a grounding problem or bad motherboard.
