The other day i was working on a companies computer that got the blue screen of death. This would happen when every would try to turn on the computer. Windows would start to load and then bam, blue screen. I tried to do safe mode, last known, as well as swap out hardware. I finally got it up and running by doing a dskchk /r in the repair console with the xp cd. The computer was working fine for about 3 days and then now again today, same thing. What i am thinking is that the hard drive is having problems. If this is the case, once i get the computer working and back into windows, could i ghost the hard drive onto another drive? The image should not be affected should it?

Reformat. If your getting BSOD, than its a software problem. if it still persists, than you might need to get a different XP CD.
