Is it possible to force DVI-D transmission from a video card.
Im having problems on one of my older computers.....
I have the monitor that supports it -> Xeros XR6-19W
I have a good cable -> Acoustic Research Pro II DVI 12'
I have a video card that supports it -> Hercules 3D Prophet III(Nvidia Ti 500)
From what I can tell, Nvidia and Hercules had different drivers for the card. Mainly, the problem was the TV-Out socket. Nvidia didn't support it....but Hercules built it into their drivers.
Later, with a bios update for the card, hercules supported the Nvidia TV-Out methodology....
Now, it seems there is a problem with the DVI.
The monitor is brand new....and shouldn't have a problem.
The card is older, but the DVI socket has never been used.
Is there a way to force DVI transmission.
I dont remember....but TVTool was a bit shifty in hacking the card.
The card origionally doesnt support the extended screen function....but tvtool forced it to...
Any help on a piece of software that can force simultaneous DVI and VGA transmission....
