here is the thing i have messed around with pcs a bit but, what im good at is wiping and restoring windows and get it working like new
hardware im too new at .
a friend of my step dad brought me his pc.
he said it made a blowing noise and it smelled like burnt and it never turned on again.
i opened it and i dint see anything burnt.
so i tho maybe the only thing that was damaged was the power supply.
i changed it out and the pc powers on cpu fans run but i get no video
even the network card lights turn on
is ide cables and video card isnt powered , i dont know the exact components it got
now this is an old pc maybe about 3 or more years not sure he had someone build it for him.
he also told if is not worth fixing it he would have me build him a new one
i need u guys opinions here if is even worth fixing
