Possible to create dead pixels?

Brand new Acer 23", shipped fresh with a dead pixel right near the middle of the screen.

I'm so upset, and the warranty doesn't offer a replacement unless there are 8 dead pixels during the first month. That's sick tbh.

Is there any way to create more dead pixels so I can get a replacement, without voiding the warranty? (e.g. no tampering with the hardware)

It is against the law to break something just to take it in under warranty.

c0rr0sive is right, and we won't help you break the law. You could try to return it for a refund but you may lose part of it for a restocking fee. If the pixel is that bad it may be worth it to you.
