Default possible cpu fan problem

The computer tower will not come on at all. The light on the power supply is on, but the power light willnot come on. Could this be a problem with my cpu fan. I have an HP xt993 with an AMD processor.

The computer is 4 years old. And no the fan in the power supply isn't working.

Check all your plugs inside to see if there is power to motherboard. Make sure and ground yourself on the metal case before you touch anything. If all the are secure then it sounds like your power supply. How some more info like age of computer. Is the fan in the power supply working?

The pc won't do anything. The only light that lights up is on the back of the power supply.
