possessed computer!

everything run's great only when i go to shutdown, the computer will stay on after OS shuts down with no signal to the monitor...it gets even stranger....i have to now shutdown the comp manually and when i shutoff my monitor(tv lcd) the computer will boot by itself...any ideas?

1. Probably some power-on or wake function with the monitor....though ive never seen it....

I have seen a similar problem....and this can be due to a poorly written bios firm.....
HP had a problem in older models where the machine would not shut down....it would reboot....the power button had incorrect function....

2. Windows is gay and you probably have processes or hardware that needs to be stopped.....may have spyware or adware running in the background....
