I was at Staples the other day and I noticed a portable hard drive on sale for $60. I went to check it out and I am a graphic designer so this is a must have.
I have a PC at home but use Macs at school. My flash drive is annoying to use since it only holds 512mb and this hard drive has 40GB

MY PROBLEM
I installed the software that came with the drive.
I disabled the security settings which allows me to read and write on any PC
I tried taking things off and placing them onto and it worked on different PC's
I plugged it into a mac and it wont let me add anything because it says I do not have permission.
The software is of course only for Windows which sucks because now I feel like I got stuck with a windows only hard drive that wont really fulfill my needs.
Is there any way to "unlock" this or format it to mac. I am not the most computer savvy person (obviously) and if I am simply doing something stupid then please tell me.
I was hesatant about buying anything Maxtor but I figured I would try it out for the price.
