Hello.

I recently had my PC upgraded but it seems to perform worse than before.

Previously my specs were:

Sempron 3100
1 gig RAM
Radeon X1600XT

Now my specs are:

Athlon 3700+
2 gig RAM
Same card as before.

I also got a new motherboard, A8n-sli deluxe.

What I'm wondering is why my PC seems worse now, in gaming especially. I used to be able to play BF2142 at medium and get 30 FPS, now I have to play it at all low settings or it's unplayable. Any help would be appreciated.

Ollie.

Did you do a reinstall of windows. cause when you do such a big change as the mobo and processor windows most likely doesnt start or go sluggish

If the problem is mainly in games, it may be a video card driver thing. Did you install the same drivers as before? If not, try going back to the previous drivers. You should definitely see a performance boost with such upgrade.

Did you install your chipset drivers? If not, that could cause serious performance issues.

Run some benchmarks, and see if you get what you would expect. And in what order did you install your chipset/drivers?
