Poor display without KVM switch

Hi all,

I'm having a fairly strange issue.

When I hook up a KVM switch between my computer and my monitor, my display is pretty much perfect. When I take it out, it seems "crappier". It used to be fine.

There's no drivers that came with the KVM. Any ideas?

PS: The monitor I'm talking about is a secondary monitor hooked up to my laptop: I'm using two monitors.
