Default PLEASE HELP i DELETED MY BACKUP!!!

I am a new one in this forum and I want desperately your help. I was installing windows xp when in one of the first screens of installation where the pc asks you where to place windows I dleted the partition of my external harddisk. HELP!!! All my life is there!!! I heard sth about restoring the fat of the disk (it was fat based external disc - My book by WD). Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is prob one of the better programs ive used to recover files

but its going to cost a few bucks, but a few dollars for your life is worth it i guess.

There are many recover disks/programs. Google around.
Linux live (Boot disks)
Ultimate Boot Disk
Symantec Ghost
partition magic

Don't write anything to the Drive, the files are still there.

Also learn to back up things onto DVD's and CD's as well.
As was demonstrated even a back drive is not safe.

symantec ghost and partition magic wont recover files. the program i listed will recover data even if the drive is formated. but ste none of those programs you mention will actually bring files back to life, theyll only help fix a currupted hdd. unless im mistaken.

For recovering lost or deleted files I've had good experience with the program Get Data Back. It's not free but it does the job pretty well. You can download the program and run it to see if it can recover your files and then pay for the key to actually copy the recovered data back.
