What's your GPU temps?
Have you updated all drivers to their latest from each component manufacturers' websites (video, audio, network, sound, chipset)?
I'd also recommend removing your sound card for now, just because Creative cards can cause a lot of issues when they're not working correctly, so we should rule that out.
