Well, it's the only optical drive I have running on my system. I usually make super long posts; I'll keep this one short:

My DVD burner plays/burns DVD-Rs just fine. CD-R disks just don't read/burn at all!! It has only worked on occasion after ejecting and re-inserting multiple times. I've updated to the latest firmware from the company site.

Any suggestions?
